Personal Banker

Job Location: Isanti, MN

Position Type: Full-time

SUMMARY:  Personal Banker develops and maintains the retail banking business of prospective and existing customers. Implements the personal banking concepts through the opening and cross-selling of new consumer and business deposit accounts, consumer loans and other retail banking services.

Responsibilities include the following:
  • Effectively develops banking relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Opens new consumer and business accounts including checking, savings, certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts. Cross-sells suitable products and services.
  • Manage a portfolio of bank customers to strengthen their relationship with the bank. Held accountable for the retention and growth of this portfolio.
  • Effectively respond to customer inquiries, either by telephone or in person, regarding account status or error resolution, products or services.
  • Make outbound calls to customers and prospects to promote bank products and services.
  • Perform wire transfers and stop payments upon customer request.
  • Favorably represent the bank at community functions and meetings.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned


  • Perform all customer transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist with any questions they may have.
  • Perform proof, imaging, and capture functions.
  • Process customer account transfers on the system.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience: Minimum two years business related degree or four years job related experience.  High school diploma required. Previous banking experience preferred. A minimum of two years customer service experience is preferred. Teller experience is a plus although not required.

Language Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. 

Other Skills/Abilities/Specifications: Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is preferred. Ability to work effectively under deadlines and pressure. Self-motivated ability to work consistently and productively under minimal supervision.
