Operations Specialist

Summary:

The Operations Specialist will be a part of a Team that is responsible for performing a variety of daily operational duties including, but not limited to, processing of incoming and outgoing wires, return items, branch capture, reconciling of accounts and processing daily reports and settlements as assigned.  Performs duties to assist and support functions of the Operations Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assists in successful operation of the Bank’s deposit products and services by following written policies and procedures
• Communicates and works with Electronic Services, Deposit Services, and Retail Administration, as well as various other departments
• Assists with the inputting and research of customer discrepancies regarding all deposit services
• Processes chargeback’s, ACH items, incoming/outgoing wires, and deposit interest payments
• Monitors and addresses all non-post, stop pays, or NSF items daily
• Processes branch capture work and reviews of mobile and remote capture deposits
• Processes levies, garnishments, and bankruptcy requests
• Processes foreign items and returned mail
• Processes daily account maintenance requests in accordance with Bank policy and file properly
• Processes daily reports and settlements as assigned
• Assists with electronic projects such as new product roll-out, promotional mail-outs, etc. as needed
• Maintains detailed records on all work responsibilities
• Maintains the confidentiality of the Bank’s customers
• Reports discrepancies immediately and assist in clearing discrepancies
• Remains current on and adhere to all regulatory requirements and training
• Providing back up to all other Operations Specialists
• Various daily/routine Operational Duties as Primary or Secondary responsibility

Other Duties:

• Effectively responds to customer inquiries, either by telephone or in person, regarding account status or error resolution
• Attends training seminars to enhance professional expertise
• Performs other duties as assigned
