Loan Operations & Administration Manager

The Loan Operations Manager is responsible for overall loan operations management. This includes managing and directing all processing, documentation, loan boarding and servicing of business, real estate, and consumer loans. The Loan Operations Manager supervises the Loan Operations staff, ensuring the efficiency of collections, escrow, & cashiering operations. An experienced professional who will use good judgment and communications to plan and accomplish goals for the department and will report directly with the Executive Vice President and/or bank management.

  • Maintain and demonstrate proficiency with loan software applications (Fiserv, Compliance One)
  • Work with systems providers to utilize application to fullest capacity, streamlining processes and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Analyze, prepare, train for periodic updates to system software, and verify that enhancements are working correctly. Assist with system parameters and design to meet the needs of multiple departments. Manage user security access.
  • Direct loan input (system boarding) and verification procedures for all loans in a timely fashion. Ensure proper segregation of duties, develop and maintain work flows for all stages of loan input.
  • Supervise the administration and processing of loans in non-accrual, charge-off or OREO status.
  • Supervise all aspects of the loan operations (portfolio and sold). This supervision includes posting of payments, payoffs, escrow accounting, escrow analysis, draw request, balancing, disbursing loan funds, closing document preparation, maintaining orderly and organized credit files, and an accurate tickler list with the efficient processing of incoming items.
  • Act as liaison to the Internal Auditor(s)/Compliance for audit and compliance issues.
  • Ensure lending staff is provided with updates and procedural changes.
  • Good knowledge of lending compliance regulations in order to monitor for overall lending compliance, address any areas of weakness, as well as aid management in the development of new lending products when required.
  • Maintain current status on compliance and regulations by attending seminars and reading available information. Ensure necessary changes or recommendations have been implemented as directed.
  • Participates in the review and recommendation of operational systems and procedures.
  • Responsible for timely preparation of assigned/appropriate Board, Call, SBA and other various reports.
  • Interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; employee performance management; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Successfully interact with operation staff to improve accuracies and efficiencies.
  • Conduct various assessments and audits to ensure department procedures and achieving accurate and desired results.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained.
  • Perform other related work and duties as assigned.
  • 5-10 plus years of progressive responsibility in consumer & commercial banking administration including in-depth familiarity with commercial, real estate, letters of credit, construction loans, consumer loans, and SBA loans required.
  • Significant experience in documentation requirements, perfecting collateral, & loan structure.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects.
