June is full of exciting summer kick-off events in the Metro area! From music festivals to markets, you can be certain you'll find something that brings excitement to your summer. We encourage you to make June your month to get out there and explore the cities!
Minneapolis
Where: Stone Arch Bridge When: June 14 - 16 Cost: Free!
If you’re looking for an exciting way to spend Father's Day weekend, this festival has it all: art, music, markets, activities, and more! The festival takes place alongside the scenic Stone Arch Bridge and features a clear view of the Minneapolis skyline. Almost all of the events are free, with the exception of the sneak peak of the vintage and vinyl market and the beer sampler. Wherever your interests may lie, this festival has something for you!
Where: Loring Park When: June 22 - 23 Cost: Free!
This annual celebration features a festival and parade that celebrates the LGBTQ+ Community. The festival will feature 400 exhibitor booths, 40 food vendors, and 4 free stages with music and other performances. This festival is a great way to get involved in the community and celebrate the people who make Minnesota so special!
Where: Walker Art Center When: June 29 Cost: $74+
If you're looking for a music festival with low commitment, then Rock the Garden is perfect for you! This short music festival takes place on one day only at the Walker Art Center, and features 2 stages with 8 bands. Some of the performance highlights include Courtney Barnett, The National, and The Beths. The festival will have a variety of food and beverages available for purchase. All you need to do to attend is purchase a ticket online!
St. Paul
Where: Mississippi Market Co-op on West 7th When: June 15 Cost: Free!
The Mississippi Market Co-op is hosting a block party featuring delicious food trucks, locally brewed beer, live music, local food samples, artwork for sale, and family friendly activities. This event is free, but reserving a ticket will help plan for traffic so make sure to secure your ticket if you're planning on going!
Where: Mears Park and St. Paul Union Depot When: June 20 - June 22 Cost: Free!
The Twin Cities Jazz Festival is a non-profit organization that aims to bring the community together through music and inspire younger generations. This event is free and features 3 outdoor stages that participants can walk between. Additionally, over 15 St. Paul venues have jazz programed for all three days of the jazz festival. With all of these options, you will definitely be able to find a great place to rock out!
Where: CHS Field: 360 North Broadway Street When: June 30 Cost: Free!
Are your children complaining about how bored they are this summer? If so, Ticket to the Twin Cities is a great option for them! With free events for kids ranging from music to science experiments to acting, this event will provide experiences that inspire joy and curiosity. There will also be interactive activities sponsored by the Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Zoo, Urban Air, the Science Museum of Minnesota, and more.

Manitou Days is a three-week summer festival that takes place in White Bear Lake. During these three weeks, the festival will host a variety of activities like parades, book signings, markets, and even a medallion hunt that promises a $1,000 prize! With activities that take place almost every day over the course of the three weeks, this celebration promises to bring some excitement to your summer.
Where: Erickson Farmstead, Isanti When: June 21 - 22 Cost: $5
This event is designed to bring business to local artists and creatives and invest in the small, locally owned businesses near Isanti. Here, you can find vintage items, farm items, hand-crafted goods, recycled home goods, and art. You can also take a free horse drawn carriage ride while you attend! Erickson Farmstead is partnering with their sister company Round Barn Trading Company to put on the event, so make sure to swing by for a cool opportunity to purchase some new items!
2nd Annual Rockin' in the Park
Where: Sunrise Park, Lino Lakes When: June 27 Cost: Free!
This free event will feature music from The Express Band, which plays classic rock and current pop hits. There will also be free activities for children, such as face painting and bounce houses. In addition to the live music, concessions will be sold throughout the night if you are looking for a snack to munch on. This is a great option for someone looking to spend quality time with their family!
Wine on Wayzata Bay
Where: Wayzata Yacht Club, Wayzata When: June 28 Cost: $65+
Calling all wine lovers! This event is the perfect opportunity to kick back, enjoy some appetizers from local restaurants, and sample wine while watching the sun set over Wayzata Bay. You’ll get the chance to hang out with local wine experts and makers. You’ll also have the opportunity to enter into some exciting raffles and maybe even take home some wine of your own! If you're interested in participating in this relaxing evening, tickets can be purchased online.
